Artist Statement

The hope I have in creating these pieces is to inspire the element of chance. The choices made while making my art reflect a hint of spontaneity, in terms of inspiration and expectation. I like to explore designs that reflect fresh ideas, and blend the old with the new. I’m inspired mostly by architecture, the aesthetics of details in character rich environments.

My abstract art tends to take turns throughout the process, sometimes trailing off and away from my original expectations.  This is what I enjoy most about creating. My artistic focus is to celebrate anticipation of what’s to come, and thus convey a sense of light.

The feelings I most often rely on, and elicit throughout my art represent nostalgia and feelings of one’s own golden age.

Chelsea

Chelsea Miller is a New Orleans born artist currently residing in Houston. She is drawn to the artistic flair of her native city and through the years has developed a deep appreciation and admiration for the creative process.

Chelsea’s vibrant & genuine spirit dances through in her favorite mediums of acrylic, gouache, and gold leaf. Her art is shown in galleries and placed in private collections across the country.
